#ShakeEbolaOff Challenge
Dancing plays a huge role in West African culture - it is impossible to walk through the streets without seeing it. It is one of the strongest cultural unifiers within the West African region, and the rest of the world, so what better way to spread awareness and raise funds than through dance?
In efforts to support the amazing organizations on the ground in Sierra Leone who are battling the ebola outbreak, the End Ebola Now team presents our new challenge campaign, #ShakeEbolaOff. Step Up to the challenge to raise funds and awareness for Emergency USA, an organization that provides top-of-the-line free health care to war-torn and poverty-stricken areas around the world. Due to the Ebola outbreak, they are currently running the ONLY fully-functioning hospital in Sierra Leone and are training healthcare officials to deal with the outbreak in the region. They have also opened the first Ebola Treatment Center near Sierra Leone's capital, Freetown, and are building another 90-bed center nearby.
Emergency USA recently released 2 Ebola survivors, Monjama and Salamatu! Join our #ShakeEbolaOff challenge so we can help them fight this humanitarian crisis. Your participation and donation can save the lives of so many - including our own, because the last thing we need is a pandemic. "Outbreaks are inevitable...pandemics are optional."
Watch our #ShakeEbolaOff video, and step up to the challenge! If you want to learn the choreography to our official #ShakeEbolaOff dance, click on our instructional video. If dance isn't your thing, we encourage you to donate whatever you can to Emergency USA. After you make a donation, tweet us @endebolanow or post a message on our End Ebola Now Facebook page and say "#ISteppedUp to Ebola by donating to #EmergencyUSA.
We now nominate EVERYONE watching watching. Thank you for your support!
